Visit Pemaquid Point Lighthouse

Pemaquid Point Lighthouse sits on the southern tip of Midcoast Maine’s Pemaquid Peninsula, within the town of Bristol’s Pemaquid Point Lighthouse Park, due south of the twin villages of Newcastle & Damariscotta. The lighthouse, owned by the U.S. Coast Guard, has been an active aid-to-navigation since 1827.

The Friends of Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, a chapter of the American Lighthouse Foundation, maintains and opens the lighthouse for visitors. During your tour, you will learn about the lighthouse’s history and get to climb to the lantern room, with its 4th order Fresnel lens, where you can enjoy a breathtaking, panoramic view of the Gulf of Maine!

Tour Schedule:

Open daily, Memorial Day Weekend Friday, May 23 through Indigenous People’s Day in October.

Monday-Saturday: 11am to 5pm

Sunday: 11am to 5pm

Cost:

We request a $1 minimum donation per visitor to climb the lighthouse.
